Today I came up with a sweet baby boy card using some amazing baby related dies mixed with a few fabulous shiny and textured details transferred with a hot laminator. It’s almost impossible to capture in pictures all those soft and foiled extra touches. I tried to do my best! Trust me, in real life this clean and simple card looks absolutely gorgeous!
Key Ingredients:
- FROM NEWTON’S NOOK DESIGNS
- FROM THERM O WEB
Step By Step Instructions:
- Die cut from Dainty Hearts Toner Card Fronts two bibs and one onesie, using Bitty Bibs Die Set and Stitched Onesie Die Set.
- Hot foil all three dies with Aqua Foil Transfer Sheets:
- Cut tree pieces of Aqua Foil Transfer Sheets slightly larger than dies.
- Place foil, color side up, on top of the heart printed side of design.
- Place the dies inside the folded parchment paper (comes with Dainty Hearts Toner Card Fronts).
- Send the “sandwich” through a hot laminator, using the crease of the folded parchment as the lead edge.
- Let the paper cool for a few seconds and then peel off the foil transfer sheet.
- DON’T FORGET TO PREHEAT YOUR LAMINATOR FOR ABOUT 20 MIN!!!
- Trim a piece of Simon Says Stamp Sea Glass cardstock and transfer the Petite Clouds pattern with Blue Sky Flock Transfer Sheets:
- Tape well Petite Clouds Stencil with New Removable Purple Tape to the light blue cardstock.
- Apply Transfer Gel Duo across the stencil.
- Let Transfer Gel Duo dry until clear (about 1-2 hours).
- Cut a piece of Blue Sky Flock Transfer Sheet slightly larger than cloudy rectangle.
- Place inside folded piece of parchment paper, keeping flock on the bottom.
- Run though a hot laminator twice, leading with the creased edge.
- Let cool for a moment and peel away the flock sheet to reveal flocked clouds.
- DON’T FORGET TO PREHEAT YOUR LAMINATOR FOR ABOUT 20 MIN!!!
- Simply die cut three flock clouds from White Latte Flock Transfer Sheets, using Sky Scene Builder Die Set.
- Heat emboss in white onto black the sentiment from Bitty Bibs Stamp Set. Shape the sentiment into a fish-tail banner with scissors.
- Trim and score an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) from Neenah Solar White paper.
- Trim a slightly smaller rectangle from Simon Says Stamp Surf cardstock and die cut a square window inside with Frames Squared Die Set.
- Adhere the flock cloudy piece directly to the card front with Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive. Pop other elements on a foam tape, using 3D Double-sided Adhesive Foam Squares.
- Finish with a darker teal small heart die cut from Love Emergency Die Set.
