Giveaway alert!! NND is giving away new Snow Much Cheer and Newton’s Stoking stamp sets to lucky winners so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!
On my stop of this hop you will find a clean and simple watercolor card featuring the most wonderful snowmen in non traditional pink and mint green colors arranged against a sparkling snowflakes! Since I ran out of a glitter white embossing paste, I created my own by using a plain white one with a clear sparkling embossing powder that was poured on the wet embossing paste and then, once dried, heat set with a heat gun. My second card that features the most adorable kitty and stunning new pattern paper, was created with a paper piecing technique! I used the pattern papers from the pad to add fun patterns instead of doing the coloring on the stocking and the kitty’s hat!
Key Ingredients:
Step By Step Instructions:
- Die cut from Strathmore Bristol paper all the elements you need for your card, using the coordinating Snow Much Cheer Die Set. I used on this project Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting machine. Save the negative parts of the dies.
- Stamp the outline illustrations from Snow Much Cheer Stamp Set with VersaFine Onyx Black pigment ink. Use the negative parts of the dies as a guide for a perfect alignment inside the stamping positioning tool.
- Color all the elements with water based markers, making the blending with a small water brush. I used:
- TOMBOW DUAL BRUSH MARKERS
- N25; 296; 346; 835; 847; 946; 992
- ZIG CLEAN COLOR REAL BRUSH MARKERS
- n.94 Gray Brown
- Trim and score an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) from Neenah Solar White paper.
- Die cut from the same Neenah Solar White paper an additional panel with a curvy edge by using Land Borders Die Set.
- Stamp the sentiment on it with the same VersaFine Onyx Black pigment ink for a perfect match with the colored stamps.
- Trim a light pink cardstock for the background, tape well Snowfall Stencil on top with a low tack tape and apply a white embossing paste all across.
- Lift up the stencil and pour a clear sparkling embossing powder all over. Shake off the excess and let the embossing paste air dry.
- Once the embossing paste is dried, melt and heat set the embossing power with a heat gun.
- Arrange all the elements on the card front and glue them in place by popping some on a foam tape for fun dimensional look.
- Finish with a couple of highlights added with a white gel pen and some clear sparkling sequins.

Step By Step Instructions:
- Die cut from Neenah Solar White paper the stocking, using the coordinating Newton’s Stocking Die Set. I used on this project Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting machine. Save the negative part of the die.
- Stamp the outline illustration from Newton’s Stocking Stamp Set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Use the negative part of the die as a guide for a perfect alignment inside the stamping positioning tool.
- Stamp again the stocking and the hat on the pattern paper from Meowy Christmas Paper Pad and fussy cut both elements with the sharp small scissors right against the stamp lines.
- Color from the back side the edges of the die cut elements with a black brush tip marker to hide any imperfection due to the fussy cutting.

- Frame the sentiment inside the stitched circle, using Frames Squared Die Set.
- Arrange all the elements on the card front, tie a red twine and glue them in place by popping some on a foam tape for fun dimensional look.
