This new mini release has two absolutely amazing Cat Silhouettes Die and Dog Silhouettes Die sets. And more… there’re two new matching super cute A Cat’s Life Paper Pad and A Dog’s Life Paper Pad.
On my stop of this hop you will find two fun cards, both made from die cut elements! The first one is all about pattern papers! I just die cut a bunch of circle elements, playing with gorgeous patterns from A Cat’s Life Paper Pad and then arranged them on a matching background with a tone on tone texture. I really LOVE how all those bright colors look together!!! The second card turned out with a rainbow twist! I decided to play around the wonderful sentiment and added the colorful furry friends, using almost all the dies from cat and dog silhouette sets!
Key Ingredients:
- A Cat’s Life Paper Pad
- Circle Frames Die Set
- Frames Squared Die Set
- A7 Frames & Banners Die Set
- Heartfelt Meows Stamp Set
- Meow Stencil
Step By Step Instructions:
- Die cut a bunch of circles and a small heart from A Cat’s Life Paper Pad, using Circle Frames Die Set, Frames Squared Die Set and Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting machine.
- Die cut a banner from C&9 Mushroom cardstock, using A7 Frames & Banners Die Set.
- Heat emboss in white the sentiment from Heartfelt Meows Stamp Set onto the banner with VersaMark Clear Embossing Ink. Don’t forget to prep the paper with a Powder Tool Applicator to prevent the embossing powder to stick where you don’t want it!
- Trim and score an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) from Simon Says Stamp Fog cardstock.
- Trim a slightly smaller rectangle from Neenah Solar White paper.
- Secure the Meow Stencil with a low tack tape on the white rectangle and roughly spread all across a white embossing paste helping yourself with a palette knife. Let the embossing paste air dry. Don’t forget to clean immediately the stencil with warm water and some liquid soap.
- Splatter the embossed background with some tiny grey droplets, using Pumice Stone Distress ink diluted with a small amount of water.
- Arrange and glue in place all the elements, using a foam tape and Distress Collage Medium Matte.
- Finish with some clear sparkling sequins.
