Newton’s Nook Designs August Release and Giveaway – Day 4 – Harvest Haul & Newton’s Crate

On the final day of the Halloween and autumn reveals we have two small, but absolutely fabulous Harvest Haul Stamp and Newton’s Crate Stamp sets! Please note that you can get the coordinating Harvest Haul Dies and Newton’s Crate Dies for both new stamp sets!

On my stop of this hop you will find two simple and cute cards both with a pop of bright fall shades added with copic markers! I created two quick backgrounds, showcasing new patterns from Autumn Paper Pad and then completed everything with a couple of finish touches.

Key Ingredients:

• Harvest Haul Stamp Set
• Harvest Haul Die Set

Step By Step Instructions:

• Die cut from Neenah Solar White paper all the elements you need, using the coordinating Harvest Haul Die Set and Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting machine. Save the negative parts of the dies.
• Stamp the outline illustration from Harvest Haul Stamp Set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, using the negative parts of the dies as a guide for a perfect alignment inside the stamping positioning tool.
• Color the stamps with COPIC MARKERS. I used on this card:
  • teal BG0000-BG10-BG11-BG34-BG49
  • red R30-R32-R35-R37-R39
  • orange YR000-Y17-YR04-YR07-YR09-E08
  • green YG00-YG01-YG06-YG09-G07
  • grey T0-T1-T3-T5-T7
  • brown E30-E31-E33
• Trim and score an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) from Neenah Solar White paper.
• Trim a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ rectangle from Autumn Paper Pad to use as a card front.
• Trim a slightly smaller rectangle from the same Neenah Solar White paper and die cut an oval in the center, using Oval Frames Die Set.
• Die cut a faux stitched banner from a black cardstock, using Frames & Flags Die Set.
• Heat emboss in white onto black the sentiment from Harvest Haul Stamp Set with VersaMark Clear Embossing Ink. Don’t forget to prep the paper with a Powder Tool Applicator to prevent the embossing powder to stick where you don’t want it!
• Arrange and glue in place all the elements by popping some of them on a foam tape for a fun dimensional look.
• Finish with a coat of a clear glitter pen, some highlights added with a white gel pen and a couple of clear sparkling sequins.

• Die cut from Neenah Solar White paper all the elements you need, using the coordinating Newton’s Crate Die Set, Harvest Haul Die Set and Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting machine. Save the negative parts of the dies.
• Stamp the outline illustration from Newton’s Crate Stamp Set and Harvest Haul Stamp Set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, using the negative parts of the dies as a guide for a perfect alignment inside the stamping positioning tool.
• Color the stamps with COPIC MARKERS. I used on this card:
  • cat E0000-E30-E31-E33-E35-E37 & W00-W3 & ears R000-R01
  • crate E40-E41-E42-E43-E44-E47
  • red R20-R21-R22-R24-R27
  • orange YR000-YR12-YR14-YR16-YR18
  • green YG00-YG01-YG03-YG17
• Trim and score an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) from Neenah Desert Storm paper.
• Trim three squares from Autumn Paper Pad and pop them on a foam tape in the center of the card front.
• Splatter some tiny droplets of a white gouache all across.
• Arrange and glue in place all the colored stamps by popping some of them on a foam tape for a fun dimensional look.
• Finish with a coat of a clear glitter pen, some highlights added with a white gel pen and a couple of white iridescent sequins.
