My today’s cards turned out with a traditional red and green color scheme inspired by the patterns from new Christmas Time Paper and Canine Christmas Paper pads! It was so quick and easy to create both layouts for the card fronts mixing and matching pattern papers.
Key Ingredients:
- Holiday Haul Stamp Set
- Holiday Haul Die Set
- Christmas Time Paper Pad
- Frames & Flags Die Set
- Land Borders Die Set
- Petite Snow Stencil
Step By Step Instructions:
- Die cut from Neenah Solar White paper all the elements you need, using the coordinating Holiday Haul Die Set and Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting machine. Save the negative parts of the dies.
- Stamp the outline illustration from Holiday Haul Stamp Set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, using the negative parts of the dies as a guide for a perfect alignment inside the stamping positioning tool.
- Color the stamps with COPIC MARKERS. I used on this card:
- red R000-R20-R21-R22-R24-R29
- green YG0000-YG00-YG01-YG06-YG09
- yellow Y00-Y11-Y15
- orange YR00-YR02-YR04-YR07
- teal BG0000-BG000-BG10-BG11-BG13
- grey C00-C1-C3-C5
- brown E30-E31
- Trim and score an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) from Neenah Solar White paper.
- Trim a 5 1/4″ x 4″ rectangle, using a pattern paper from Christmas Time Paper Pad.
- Die cut from Neenah Solar White paper a faux stitched rectangle, using Frames & Flags Die Set.
- Ink it with Tumbled Glass Distress ink, using the blending brush.
- Secure Petite Snow Stencil on the inked background and spread a white dimensional paste all across with a palette knife. Let the embossing paste air dry.
- Die cut from Neenah Solar White paper two snow hills, using Land Borders Die Set and Frames & Flags Die Set.
- Stamp the sentiment from Holiday Haul Stamp Set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- Arrange and glue in place all the elements on the card base, by popping some on a foam tape for a fun dimensional look.
- Finish with a generous coat of a clear glitter pen and a few highlights added with a white gel pen.
Key Ingredients:
- Wreath Pups Stamp Set
- Wreath Pups Die Set
- Christmas Time Paper Pad
- Canine Christmas Paper Pad
- Fancy Edges Tag Die Set
Step By Step Instructions:
- Die cut from Strathmore Bristol paper all the elements you need, using the coordinating Wreath Pups Die Set and Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting machine. Save the negative parts of the dies.
- Stamp the outline illustration from Wreath Pups Stamp Set with VersaFine Onyx Black pigment ink, using the negative parts of the dies as a guide for a perfect alignment inside the stamping positioning tool.
- Color the stamp with water based markers. I used on this card ZIG CLEAN COLOUR REAL BRUSH MARKERS:
- n.22 Carmine Red
- n.23 Scarlet Red
- n.29 Geranium Red
- n.41 Light Green
- n.43 Olive Green
- n.60 Brown
- n.61 Light Brown
- n.63 Ochre
- n.64 Oatmeal
- n.72 Beige
- n.94 Grey Brown
- n.260 Deep Red
- Trim and score an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) from Neenah Solar White paper.
- Trim a 5 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ dotted rectangle and a 5 1/2″ stripe from Canine Christmas Paper Pad.
- Die cut a tag from Neenah Solar White paper, using Fancy Edges Tag Die Set.
- Die cut a tag hole reinforcement circle from Christmas Time Paper Pad, using the same Fancy Edges Tag Die Set.
- Heat emboss in white onto black the sentiment with VersaMark Clear Embossing Ink. Don’t forget to prep the paper with a Powder Tool Applicator to prevent the embossing powder to stick where you don’t want it!
- Finish with some clear sparkling sequins.
