I know, it’s a long post since I have four cards to share today! But I LOVE the new hot foil products so much that I couldn’t help pairing them both with the new stamps and the pattern papers from this birthday release! Which one is you favorite?
Key Ingredients:
- Confetti Hot Foil Plate
- Paw Prints Hot Foil Plate
- Birthday Sentiments Hot Foil Plate
- Birthday Barks Stamp Set
- Birthday Barks Die Set
- Newton’s Birthday Delights Stamp Set
- Newton’s Birthday Delights Die Set
- Banner Duo Die Set
Step By Step Instructions:
- Die cut from Neenah Solar White paper all the shapes you need, using the coordinating Birthday Barks Die Set, Newton’s Birthday Delights Die Set and Spellbinders Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine or Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. Save the negative parts of the dies.
- Stamp the outline illustrations from Birthday Barks Stamp Set and Newton’s Birthday Delights Stamp Set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, using the negative parts of the dies as a guide for a perfect alignment inside the stamping positioning tool.
- Color the stamps with COPIC MARKERS. I used on this card:
- dog #1 E40-E41-E42-E43 & T0-T1-T3
- dog #2 C00-C0-C1-C3-C5
- dog #3 YR30-YR31-YR23-YR24-YR27
- pink RV000-RV00-RV10-RV13
- orange YR000-YR04
- yellow Y000-Y11-Y13-Y15-Y19
- green YG0000-YG01-YG05
- teal BG10-BG11-BG45
- purple V000-V01-V12
- black 100
- Trim and score an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) from Neenah Solar White paper. I used Tim Holtz Maxi Guillotine Trimmer and Mini Score Board on my card.
- Hot foil the paw prints on white, following the instructions of your hot foil system and using Paw Prints Hot Foil Plate and a rainbow foil. You will need both a hot foil system and a die cutting machine for this step. I used:
- Hot foil twice the confetti background on the same piece of a light grey cardstock with Spellbinders – Glimmer Foil Roll – Prism.
- Splatter the grey background with a few tiny droplets of Hickory Smoke Distress ink diluted with a small amount of water.
- Hot foil the sentiment on dark grey cardstock with Spellbinders – Glimmer Foil Roll – Silver.
- Die cut the sentiment with the coordinating fish-tail banner from Banner Duo Die Set.
- Arrange and glue in place all the elements on the card front by popping some of them on a foam tape for a bit of dimension.
- Finish with a generous coat of a clear glitter pen and a few highlights added with a white gel pen. Add a layer of Glossy Accents on the balloon stamps.

Step By Step Instructions:
- Die cut from Strathmore Bristol paper the kitty ice cream cone, using the coordinating Newton’s Birthday Delights Die Set and Spellbinders Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine or Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. Save the negative parts of the dies.
- Stamp the outline illustrations from Newton’s Birthday Delights Stamp Set with VersaFine Onyx Black pigment ink, using the negative parts of the dies as a guide for a perfect alignment inside the stamping positioning tool.
- Color the stamps with ZIG CLEAN COLOUR REAL BRUSH MARKERS. I used:
- cats: 904 Fog Gray – 901 Warm Gray 2 – 064 Oatmeal – 072 Beige – 055 Pale Yellow – 061 Light Brown – 220 Tea Rose;
- pink: 026 Light Pink – 201 Pink Haze – 025 Pink;
- orange: 052 Bright Yellow – 054 Pale Orange – 070 Orange;
- green: 045 Pale Green – 047 May Green – 049 Green Shadow;
- cherry: 023 Scarlet Red – 022 Carmine Red;
- cone: 055 Pale Yellow – 050 Yellow – 061 Light Brown.
- Trim and score an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) from Neenah Solar White paper. I used Tim Holtz Maxi Guillotine Trimmer and Mini Score Board on my card.
- Hot foil the confetti background on pink, following the instructions of your hot foil system and using Confetti Hot Foil Plate and a prism foil. You will need both a hot foil system and a die cutting machine for this step. I used:
- Partially die cut the rounded corners frame from the confetti background, using Frames & Flags Die Set.
- Then partially die cut the rounded corners frame from yellow striped pattern paper, using Frames & Flags Die Set and Birthday Meows Paper Pad.
- Die cut the scalloped stripe from a green pattern paper, using Sky Borders Die Set and Birthday Meows Paper Pad.
- Hot foil the sentiment on black with Spellbinders – Glimmer Foil Roll – Champagne.
- Die cut the sentiment, using Banner Duo Die Set.
- Arrange and glue in place all the elements on the card front by popping some of them on a foam tape for a bit of dimension.
- Finish with a few highlights added with a white gel pen and “glaze” the ice cream with Moonstone Glimmer Paste from Nuvo.

Step By Step Instructions:
- Trim and score an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) from Neenah Solar White paper. I used Tim Holtz Maxi Guillotine Trimmer and Mini Score Board on my card.
- Die cut a bunch of small hearts from Birthday Meows Paper Pad, using Spellbinders Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine or Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.
- Hot foil the sentiment, following the instructions of your hot foil system and using Birthday Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and a gold foil. You will need both a hot foil system and a die cutting machine for this step. I used:
- Die cut the sentiment with the coordinating fish-tail banner from Banner Duo Die Set.
- Trim a thing stripe of the pattern paper from Birthday Meows Paper Pad.
- Arrange and glue in place all the elements on the card front by popping them on a foam tape for a bit of dimension.

- Hot foil the sentiments, following the instructions of your hot foil system and using Birthday Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and a gold foil. You will need both a hot foil system and a die cutting machine for this step. I used:
- Die cut the sentiments, using the coordinating fish-tail banner from Banner Duo Die Set and Spellbinders Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine or Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.
- Arrange and glue in place all the elements on the card front by popping them on a foam tape for a bit of dimension.
