The first day of the November 2023 reveals starts with lots of AMAZING coffee themed products that will suit everyone’s taste! First comes the most beautiful Heartfelt Coffee Stamp Set filled with lots of cute mugs and cups. Please note that, this new stamp set becomes a part of the NND “Heart Card Front” collection and coordinates perfectly with the previously released Heart Frames Die Set and Banner Trio Die Set! Next I’m so excited to introduce one of my favorites products from this release – Coffee Silhouettes Die Set! I just adore to get into die cutting and be creative with such stunning die sets like this one! If you’re a fan of hot foiling, then you like for sure new Coffee Beans Hot Foil Plate and Coffee Mug Hot Foil Plate & Die that can be mixed and matched on your cards in many different ways!
Today I came up with three simple, but yet different projects! First two were made with a rainbow twist! I used the copic markers with the beautiful Heartfelt Coffee Stamp Set and colorful cardstocks for the small die cut mugs! The third card is all about hot foiling! I paired together the new hot foil products and got creative with a matching coffee background!
Key Ingredients:
Step By Step Instructions:
- Stamp the big heart illustration from Heartfelt Coffee Stamp Set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Solar White paper. If you use a stamping positioning tool, ink and impress the stamp a couple of times to achieve black crisp outlines.
- Color the stamps with COPIC MARKERS. I used on this card:
- green YG0000-YG00-YG01-YG03
- yellow Y0000-Y11-Y13-Y18-Y19
- orange YR0000-YR00-YR02-YR04
- red R0000-R00-R12-R20
- warm pink RV0000-RV00-RV21-RV23
- cool pink RV0000-RV00-RV02-RV06
- brown E31-E34
- Die cut the heart stamp with the coordinating Heart Frames Die Set, using Spellbinders Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine or Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.
- Heat emboss in white on black the sentiment from Heartfelt Coffee Stamp Set with VersaMark clear sticky ink and Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Don’t forget to prep the paper with a Powder Tool Applicator to prevent the embossing powder to stick where you don’t want it!
- Trim and score an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) from Neenah Solar White paper. I used Tim Holtz Maxi Guillotine Trimmer and Mini Score Board.
- Trim a slightly smaller rectangle from any scrap paper you have on hand to use for the background.
- Trim a bunch of stripes from the colorful cardstocks to go behind your heart illustration. I picked:
- Bazzill Easter Grass cardstock;
- Concord & 9th Sprout cardstock;
- Simon Says Stamp Lemon Chiffon cardstock;
- The Stamp Market Golden cardstock;
- The Stamp Market Mango cardstock;
- Concord & 9th Grapefruit cardstock;
- Concord & 9th Ballet Slipper cardstock;
- The Stamp Market Rosy cardstock;
- Simon Says Stamp Doll Pink cardstock.
- Hot foil the Coffee Beans Hot Foil Plate on white, following the instructions of your hot foil system. You will need both a hot foil system and a die cutting machine for this step. I used:
- Arrange and glue in place all the elements on the card front by popping them on a foam tape for a bit of dimension.
Key Ingredients:
- Coffee Silhouettes Die Set
- Heartfelt Coffee Stamp Set
- Coffee Beans Hot Foil Plate
- Essential Alphabet Die Set
Step By Step Instructions:
- Trim and score an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) from Neenah Solar White paper. I used Tim Holtz Maxi Guillotine Trimmer and Mini Score Board.
- Trim a 3 3/4″ x 3 1/4″ rectangle from the same Neenah Solar White paper for the bottom part of the background.
- Trim a 3 3/4″ x 3 ” panel from a cream paper for the top part of the background. I used Lawn Fawn Vanilla Malt cardstock.
- Dry emboss the cream rectangle with Coffee Beans Hot Foil Plate. I ran the hot foil plate twice inside my Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting Machine to fill the whole area with the coffee bean pattern. My sandwich was:
- 1) Sizzix Multipurpose Platform at Tab 1;
- 2) a clear cutting pad;
- 3) thick embossing rubber mat;
- 4) cardstock;
- 5) Coffee Beans Hot Foil Plate face down on the cardstock;
- 6) clear cutting pad.
- Die cut a bunch of coffee mugs from colorful cardstock, using Coffee Silhouettes Die Set and Spellbinders Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine or Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. I picked:
- pinks: Simon Says Stamp Doll Pink & The Stamp Market Party Pink;
- oranges: Lawn Fawn Fake Tan & Concord & 9th Marmalade;
- yellows: Simon Says Stamp Banana & MFT Butterscotch;
- greens: Concord & 9th Sprout & Bazzill Easter Grass;
- teals: Lawn Fawn Mermaid & Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue.
- Assemble the mugs by gluing all the pieces together with a liquid adhesive that dries clear and matte. I currently like to use Bearly Art – Precision Craft Glue on my projects.
- Die cut the matching letters to form the word “LATTE” with Essential Alphabet Die Set.
- As an extra step die cut twice the same letters “LATTE” from any white scrap cardstock you have on hand and glue all the layers together to get a faux chipboard elements.
- Carefully split in two with the sharp small scissors “Thank A Latte” sentiment from Heartfelt Coffee Stamp Set.
- Arrange and glue in place all the elements on the card front by popping some of them on a foam tape for a bit of dimension.
- Finish with the black and white twine.
Key Ingredients:
Step By Step Instructions:
- Hot foil the Coffee Mug Hot Foil Plate on white, following the instructions of your hot foil system. You will need both a hot foil system and a die cutting machine for this step. I used:
- Die cut the coffee mug with the coordinating Coffee Mug Die, using Spellbinders Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine or Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.
- Hot foil the Coffee Beans Hot Foil Plate on white, following the instructions of your hot foil system. You will need both a hot foil system and a die cutting machine for this step. I used:
- Trim and score an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) from Neenah Solar White paper. I used Tim Holtz Maxi Guillotine Trimmer and Mini Score Board.
- Trim a slightly narrower rectangle from Neenah Desert Storm paper.
- Smooth on a slick surface, like Ranger Craft Sheet, Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink and add a bit of water.
- Take a mug and deep its bottom part into the mix of ink and water.
- Stamp first two impressions on the scratch piece of paper.
- Stamp the third impression on the kraft backround, creating an imperfect coffee mug stain. Repeat these steps a couple of time to fill in the whole background.
- Splatter the kraft background with some tiny droplets of ink, using a regular brush.
- Finally add a couple of white gouache droplets to add more interest.
- Partially dye a kraft twine with the leftover mix of ink and water on the craft mat. Let it completely air dry.
- Arrange and glue in place all the elements by popping some of them on a foam tape for a bit of dimension.
- Don’t forget to add the dyed craft twine and a gold thread under the hot foiled coffee mug.
- Finish with three matching half pearls.
