Please note that all the new April products will be available for purchase on Friday, April 19th at Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft retailers!
Today the Design Team and I are so excited to introduce you the most beautiful and classic Floral Delights Stamp Set filled with the lovely echinacea and daisy illustrations! Please note that, in case you’re interested, there’s the coordinating Floral Delights Die Set as well!
It was so long since I used a kraft background on my cards! And so I decided to pair it with bright pink echinacea flowers! I kept everything clean and simple and skipped all the embellishments except of the tiny white splatters that are always a must for my kraft themed cards!
Key Ingredients:
Step By Step Instructions:
- Die cut all the elements you need from Neenah Solar White paper, using the coordinating Floral Delights Die Set and Spellbinders Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine or Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. Save the negative parts of the dies.
- Stamp the outline illustrations from Floral Delights Stamp Set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, using the negative parts of the dies as a guide for a perfect alignment inside the stamping positioning tool.
- Color the stamps with COPIC MARKERS. I used on this card:
- pink RV0000-RV000-RV00-RV02-RV04-RV06-RV09-RV69
- green G20-G21-G24
- yellow Y21-YR21-YR24
- Trim and score an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) from Neenah Desert Storm paper. I used Tim Holtz Maxi Guillotine Trimmer and Mini Score Board.
- Die cut A2 Card Layout Die Set from Neenah Solar White paper.
- Heat emboss in white on bright pink the sentiment with VersaMark clear sticky ink and Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Don’t forget to prep the paper with a Powder Tool Applicator to prevent the embossing powder to stick where you don’t want it! My pink is Simon Says Stamp Doll Pink cardstock.
- Frame the sentiment with a faux stitched circle die from Circle Frames Die Set.
- Arrange and glue in place all the elements on the card front by popping some of them on a foam tape for a bit of dimension.
- Quickly mask the sentiment with a scrap piece of paper and splatter some tiny droplets of a white gouache on the card front.
- Finish with a generous coat of Wink of Stella clear glitter pen and a few highlights added with a white gel pen.
