Key Ingredients:
- PURPLE ONION DESIGNS STAMPS:
- Sunshine Goldie Stamp
- The Great Outdoors Sentiment Set
- OTHER CRAFT SUPPLIES:
- Sizzix – Framelits Dies – Circles
Step By Step Instructions:
- Stamp on Neenah Solar White paper Sunshine Goldie Stamp with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
Designer’s Tip:
Since rubber stamps from Purple Onion Designs come unmounted, you will need a temporary mounting solution to work with. A Clear Mounting Stamp is one of the options. You can apply this clear stamp on an acrylic block or acrylic stamping platform to hold your unmounted stamps in place while stamping. Remove and store it when finished until next time. The clear stamp can be cleaned with water and a little liquid soap.
- Fussy cut the stamp with the sharp small scissors, leaving a little white edge around.
- Color the illustration with COPIC MARKERS. I used:
- gray #1 W00-W0-W1-W3-W5-W6
- gray #2 C0-C1-C2-C4
- red R0000-R00-R11-R12-R14-R08
- yellow YR30-YR31-Y17-YR24
- green G20-G21-G24-G28
- Trim and score an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) from Neenah Solar White paper. I used Tim Holtz Maxi Guillotine Trimmer and Mini Score Board on my card.
- Trim a piece of Hammermill paper for the background.
- Heat emboss in white a geometric background, using VersaMark clear sticky ink and Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Don’t forget to prep the paper with a Powder Tool Applicator to prevent the embossing powder to stick where you don’t want it! I picked an old background stamp from Impression Obsession that was discontinued.
- Ink the heat embossed pattern with orange and yellow shades, helping yourself with the blending brushes to achieve a soft and smooth blending. On my card I used Simon Say Stamp Pawsitively Saturated inks in Melon, Cantaloupe and Blush shades.
- Splatter the inked background with some tiny droplets of a pearlescent solution.
- Die cut a circle from the inked piece, using Sizzix – Framelits Dies – Circles and Spellbinders Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine or Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.
- Heat emboss in white on black the sentiment from The Great Outdoors Sentiment Set, using VersaMark clear sticky ink and Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Again don’t forget to prep the paper with a Powder Tool Applicator to prevent the embossing powder to stick where you don’t want it!
- Arrange and glue in place all the elements on the card front, by popping them on a foam tape for a fun dimensional look.
- Finish with a few highlights added with a white gel pen and some matching sequins adhered with Bearly Art – Precision Craft Glue.
That’s all for today! Hope you like this cute birthday card! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous day!
Hugs,
Tatiana
