New Amongst the Pines Stamp Collection ft. Purple Onion Designs

Today I’m sharing another peek on the new summer stamps from Purple Onion Designs! I’m featuring Amongst the Pines Stamp Collection in this post illustrated by Stacey Yacula!

Step By Step Instructions:

• Stamp on Neenah Solar White paper Pistachio (bear hiking), Fern (fox hiking) and Woodland Horizon stamps with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Designer’s Tip:

Since rubber stamps from Purple Onion Designs come unmounted, you will need a temporary mounting solution to work with. A Clear Mounting Stamp is one of the options. You can apply this clear stamp on an acrylic block or acrylic stamping platform to hold your unmounted stamps in place while stamping. Remove and store it when finished until next time. The clear stamp can be cleaned with water and a little liquid soap.

• Die cut a circle in the center of the background Woodland Horizon stamp, using Stitched Circles Dies and Spellbinders Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine or Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.
• Fussy cut both characters with the sharp small scissors, leaving a little white edge around.
• Color the illustrations with COPIC MARKERS. I used:
  • brown bear E30-E31-E34-E37
  • orange fox YR30-YR21-YR12-YR14-YR15-YR18
  • red R000-R11
  • yellow Y0000-Y15-Y17
  • green YG0000-YG00-Yg01-YG11-YG21-YG23-YG93-YG95-YG97
  • blue B0000-B000-B00-B01-B02-B04-B06
  • sky BG0000-BG000
  • map E0000-E50
  • brown E40-E42-E43
  • gray W00-W1-W3
• Heat emboss in white on yellow the sentiment from The Great Outdoors Sentiment Set, using VersaMark clear sticky ink and Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Don’t forget to prep the paper with a Powder Tool Applicator to prevent the embossing powder to stick where you don’t want it!
• Trim and score an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) from Neenah Solar White paper. I used Tim Holtz Maxi Guillotine Trimmer and Mini Score Board on my card.
• Arrange and glue in place all the elements on the card front, by popping them on a foam tape for a fun dimensional look.
